Understanding Entanglement: A Deep Dive into the Quantum World, High school final essays of Physics

The concept of entanglement in quantum physics, a phenomenon where particles appear to be connected and influence each other instantaneously, regardless of the distance between them. The double-slit experiment, quantum leaps, and the theories of neils bohr and albert einstein. It also touches upon the implications of entanglement, such as quantum teleportation and the 'spooky action at a distance'.

The Video discussed the physics at a quantum level, the Physics of smallest
particle of matter [atoms] and its sub-atomic particles; the way it behaves and laws of
physics it obeys. It is important first to note that the physics governing matter at macro
scale [classical mechanics] - the observable, predictable physics is different from that
of the atom [quantum mechanics] which works on bizarre ways and on its own laws.
The first few minutes provided an overview of the quantum world. Suggesting
that matter either ways behave both like wave and a particle. Bodies do exhibit a wave-
like characteristics as well although basically consists of particle but because it’s too
small we can’t even see it our naked eyes. However, on a quantum level to observed
these phenomenon is easy. Just like the light the photon particles. The Double-slit
experiment explained and demonstrated that when a photon where allowed to passed
through ‘double-slit’ , if only treated as particle obviously it will land on just two points on
the screen but fascinating as it seems if doesn’t, rather it creates a series of patterns
known as interference patterns. Light diffracts and this phenomenon supported the
claim that it indeed acts as wave as well.
Going deeper on atoms, electrons exhibit the so called ‘quantum leap’. What is it
about? According to the Neil’s Bohr model a quantum leap is when an electron
leap/jumps or transitioned from one quantum state into another [energy level or shells].
Come to think of it like a solar system where electrons are found on orbitals with
nucleus at center. When electrons absorbed enough amount of energy from the
photon/light it jumps away from the nucleus [excited state] whereas when electrons
jump discontinuously to shells with lower energy on a ground state it emits/gives off
energy. But it can’t occupy space in between shells.
Equation of quantum mechanics helps precisely explain the behavior of particles
and atoms. Neils Bohr and Einstein had these conflicting views on reality of atoms.
Accordingly to Bohr he firmly believed that the reality is uncertain until we observed it
and that uncertainty say; location of photons on a double slit would disappear but to
Einstein he believed on certainty and reality would be as it is even without observer.
However, the late Einstein as well speculated that there is a missing theory that could
profoundly explain the nature of reality and certainty. Then comes this baffling theory of
quantum entanglement which furtherly studied by Einstein and which he also thought
that will complete and unified everything. It suggests that an entangled pair of electrons
with their properties linked with one another is connected in a special way. And that
whatever you do with one particle would definitely affects the state of its pair electron
they behave as if a single entity. Moreover, even if you stretched them away millions or
trillions of light years apart they would still appear to affect one another communicating
regardless how distant they were. Einstein referred this ‘spooky action at a distance’.
Considered a pair of electron spin. The quantum state is still uncertain unless
measurement is done on that entangled system. Without interfering or interacting the
system it will remain on its superposition with all its possible states. If one is said to be
spinning up most probably the other has an angular spin of a downward orientation in
space. Another, let us consider an entangled coin. If you happen to flip one and landed
head the other one is guaranteed to be a tail. It shows that the outcome of first system

However, the late Einstein as well speculated that there is a missing theory that could profoundly explain the nature of reality and certainty. Then comes this baffling theory of quantum entanglement which furtherly studied by Einstein and which he also thought that will complete and unified everything. It suggests that an entangled pair of electrons with their properties linked with one another is connected in a special way. And that whatever you do with one particle would definitely affects the state of its pair electron they behave as if a single entity. Moreover, even if you stretched them away millions or trillions of light years apart they would still appear to affect one another communicating regardless how distant they were. Einstein referred this ‘spooky action at a distance’. Considered a pair of electron spin. The quantum state is still uncertain unless measurement is done on that entangled system. Without interfering or interacting the system it will remain on its superposition with all its possible states. If one is said to be spinning up most probably the other has an angular spin of a downward orientation in space. Another, let us consider an entangled coin. If you happen to flip one and landed head the other one is guaranteed to be a tail. It shows that the outcome of first system

has something directly to do with the second system (vice versa). Therefor, measuring one affects the other because of this inextricable linked between each. That’s it. But how these entangled system communicate even if there is no connection that would allow them to do so still left physicist wander. The thing that Einstein still not conceived and find it difficult to conform is the way entangled electrons do communicate with another instantaneously exceeding speed of light that heavily violated his general theory of relativity with the premise that not a single known objects could out speed light. But, electrons really does. These quantum communication and bizarre interactions of entangled electrons although not physically connected moves faster than light and they see opportunity to experimentally conduct quantum teleportation of single photon or particle without traversing space, where scientist and physicist have successfully made. John Clauser conducted quantum experiment to provide evidence and ease the dissatisfaction of Einstein on these entangled particles affecting one another. He thought of a ‘hidden variable’ and quantum mechanics as Einstein believed is incomplete. Clauser’s machine had tested many entangled particles. Furthermore, John Clauser have attempted to prove that there is no spooky thing in action between entangled particles but as the results of his experimentation then revealed to agreeing to the fact that indeed there were really action that seems hard to explain how, what and why it works. Entanglement is real and spooky action between particles really exist. It remains a big question mark in the field of quantum physics. Now with this thought and premise about entanglement this tickles the mind of physicist to use these bizarre phenomenon the action that particles does into something with high usefulness to humanity. Probably they’re dreaming about teleportation like in the science fiction. But the thing that ever been teleported successfully is just a single particle of photon. Thinking that maybe someday the same could be done to human, being teleported across distant spaces without traversing spaces itself. It made sense because if are a bunch of atoms/particles itself. Question is how assured we are that this will be successfully to man? But who knows maybe in the far future we could actually able to do teleportation as what the reality of particle- the entanglement is presenting us now. Wrapping it up. Entanglement is quite the most strange thing that physicist still working on to understand. Still physicist marches to probe and uncover the way of entanglement since then till now. But one thing is for sure, the reality is weird and entails deeper analysis to have a full grasp of. Reality is absurd, weird and mysterious which physics is struggling to figure out to fullest extent.
