Assignment 2: Reflection on the Artificial Intelligence Technology Talk

On 13th November, I attended an online talk about Artificial Intelligence
Technology (AI) during Softskill and Volunteerism lecture. The talk emphasized about
the importance of AI in the life of students especially when we have entered university.
This is due to the fact that robots are more helpful and efficient when it comes to doing
certain tasks such as data collection and research. Despite having a lot of advantages,
there are also some disadvantages of AI being mentioned in the talk.
One of the advantages of AI that I have discovered through this talk is that AI
has a feature named prompt engineering, which is very useful for my university works
that have concepts that might differ in some situations. The process of structuring
prompt engineering, often known as prompting, allows a generative AI model to analyze
and comprehend phrases so that its output aligns with the user’s intentions. The prompt
will request some information so that the generative AI model like ChatGPT will have
the necessary guidance to generate its response align with the desired output.
On the other hand, one of the disadvantages of AI that I have given me a different
perspective is that AI could be the reason for the increase of unemployment in this
world. This is because human interference will be needed less as the AI is starting to
replace most repetitive tasks and other works with robots. On top of that, the increase
in use of AI will reduce demand in certain sectors such as transportation sectors. For
instance, due to the existence of self-driving technology, the autonomous vehicles have
the potential to reduce the demand for taxi drivers and delivery personnel.
Other than learning about the advantages and disadvantages of AI, I have
discovered a new feature from the generative AI that I have always used, which is
ChatGPT. The feature known as ChatGPT Use Case, have variety of functions that are
very helpful such as the ChatGPT will help us brainstorming, guide us to prepare slide
contents and having the AI to generate images based on our request. Other than the
function for academic purposes, some AI tools are also capable of doing other tasks
