Data Gathering Instrument
In this study, the researchers utilized survey questionnaires in gathering of data. The survey
questionnaires divided into three parts. Part 1 for the demographic of the respondents such as name,
age, and sex. Part 2 consists of 6 closed-ended questions and 4 rating questions containing respondents’
personal view on ointment for cough and colds. Part 3 is the level of efficacy of ginger and lemon grass
as an alternative ointment for cough and colds using the Likert scale in terms of effectiveness, fragrance,
texture, and consistency.
