The table shows the respondents’ usage patterns of Facebook. The
most popular devices used for accessing Facebook among the students
were smartphones (100%) and laptops (25%). Regarding online
connections, it was reported that the majority of students were
friends with schoolmates and teachers from their school, which was
respectively accounted for 95.83% and 89.58%.
Facebook was shown as an indispensable part of youngsters’ life
as 72.92% of the surveyed students used the platform daily.
From the general data, it seemed that the prevalence of Facebook
among senior high school students stemmed from not only users’
personal preference but also extrinsic factors of student life.
The time for being active on Facebook platform varied considerably
among users. Regarding proportion, spending one to six hours weekly
for Facebook covered the largest number of students (41.67%), which
was followed by less than one hour with 27.08% of the respondents.
Markedly, 6.25% of them admitted to spending over 20 hours while 6.25%
also spent 11 to 20 hours weekly on the platform.
