1) Take topic sentence
2) Summarize the rest of the paragraph
3) Reflect on similar/different aspect
1) With the rapid onset of AI and its development, many are in a constant search for new
ways to integrate AI into different industries. The healthcare industry is no exception.
There are constant discussions and debates about how to integrate AI properly, and how
to regulate such a thing
2) This can certainly be seen in the healthcare industry through the constant debates about
the incorporation of AI into medicine. Take I. Glenn Cohen, for example, who was
quoted by the Harvard Gazette as saying that the process of adding AI into healthcare
would involve long and tedious processes, as well as high costs, which both don’t justify
the experimental level that many of these technologies are in. Additionally, many
Americans are uncomfortable with AI, and there are many ethical issues that inhibit AI
from being integrated in a meaningful way, at least for now
3) I think my topic sentence frames my position less as pro- or anti-AI, but more that we’re
not ready for AI in healthcare. I attempt to reflect this in my topic sentence, but maybe I
should adjust it to reflect that we’re not ready yet.
