- What you studied at previous institution
At the previous institute I have studied Electrical Engineering (EE). My rigorous courses gave
me comprehensive exposure to all the core fields of EE. I have developed a firm grasp on
Electronics, Digital Logic Design, Microcontrollers, Signal and Systems, Digital Image
Processing, Computer Vision etc. I am also skilled in programming (C++, Assembly language,
Verilog and Python). I did several semester projects as mentioned in my resume to get
exposure to the practical aspects of my knowledge.
- Motivation applying for the major
My major, Electrical Engineering, is a burgeoning field of this era. I am interested in
development of innovative Nano devices, circuits and Integrated Smart Sensors. Given the
incredible advancement in the field of smart machines, it is required to establish firm
foundations at the theoretical level and present acceptable solutions to a myriad of
problems. I envisage my research to serve the same purpose. Thus, I aim to pursue Masters
in Electrical Engineering after graduation.
- Brief study plan
I aim to work in Centre of Integrated Smart Sensors (CISS) under the supervision of
Professor Chong-Min Kyung and his team on event detection project which requires
concepts of machine learning, computer vision, and integrated smart sensors. This project
matches my majors of bachelors in EE and my research area. Therefore, I plan to extend my
knowledge, efforts, research and study in the proposed field.
- Future plan after study
In the distant future, I picture myself as a PhD Doctorate working as a Research Scientist or
as a Professor in a reputable university imparting the knowledge that I have gathered over
the years. Also, my country Pakistan is lacking behind in the field of research and
technology. I aim to serve my land by utilizing my insight. I additionally intend to build
multifunctional systems and develop softwares to address various problems that plague our
society.
- Honors and awards
I scored 95.3% and 90.7% marks, respectively, in my Secondary School and Higher
Secondary School Examination and topped the College both times. In undergrad too, I have
maintained an excellent standard of academics. My CGPA i.e 3.95/4 makes me stand among
the 1% students of my batch. I am the recipient of NUST High Achievers Scholarship. I shall
be receiving a Gold Medal on my graduation. Besides studies, I have won various accolades
in Badminton, Swimming, Horse-riding, Squash etc.
