1. Memory is a reconstructive process that is subject to a host of distortions. Discuss
with reference to false memory studies or the misinformation effect.
2. Describe, with research examples, the main components of Baddeley’s working
memory model and note how it differs from the short-term memory of the modal
model.
3. Referring to empirical evidence, write on two of the following:
(i) encoding and retrieval factors in long-term memory
(ii) network models of semantic memory
(iii) expert and novice differences in problem solving
(iv) the role of analogy in problem solving
4. Discuss the importance of both personality traits and mood states in relation to the
theories of cognitive processing of emotional information.
