  1. A resistor of 1k carries a current of 100mA. Find : (i) The power it dissipates. Use two different methods to calculate power. (ii) The energy expended in 30 minutes. [ 5 marks ]
  2. For the resistor network shown below in Fig Q2 , find the current flowing through each resistor and the voltage across each resistor. [ 22 marks ]

  1. For the circuit shown in Fig Q4 , Vin 1 = 10Vpk-pk sine wave at 300kHz, R 1 = 3 , L 1 = 30H and C 1 = 10nF. Calculate : a. the impedance – in polar and complex form. b. the rms current. c. the phase angle between the applied voltage and the current flowing. d. the power factor.
