Be active with the cause - In Vitro testing is a very accurate and safe alternative to animal testing Antibodieswhich are used to research, diagnose, and fight diseases and have traditionally been created by injecting cancer cells into micecan now be produced using DNA that's made in a laboratory or taken from human cells.o Great Ape Protection and Cost Savings Act, which would phase out harmful research on chimpanzees in laboratories andretire the approximately 500 federally owned chimpanzees to permanent sanctuary.-Ask your Members of Congress to co-sponsor the Pet Safety and Protection Act, which would put Class B dealers out of business.-send a message to the presidents of more than 350 federally-funded schools, urging them to adopt a policy prohibiting severe suffering in animals used for research on their campuses. --includes Alabama TERM 8

CONCLUSION

DEFINITION 8

Today we looked at what is occuring in the United States in

regards to Animal testing. -We established that there are plenty of

alternatives to animal testing-How little is being done to stop it-

What we can do to be active and make an impact.-Most of us have

had a favorite childhood pet. I can't imagine seeing one of them

being put through some of the horrific experiments that occur in

this country. Even with testing on rodents, My roommate and I

currently have a guinea pig...
