1. Use various aids geography text book, maps and Internet to learn about Natural resources
2. Learn about natural resources of India & its past and current state

Project: Natural Resources of India

ACTIVITY:

Prepare a poster on Natural Resources of India OBJECTIVES: Students will be able to

  1. Use various aids geography text book, maps and Internet to learn about Natural resources
  2. Learn about natural resources of India & its past and current state
  3. Communicate effectively through pictures and numbers
  4. Understand importance of preservation of resources
  5. Use creativity to build posters, picture collages and layout of information MATERIAL REQUIRED:
  6. A3 size poster
  7. Water colors
  8. Card board, Thermocol, crayons
  9. Scissors & gum
  10. Colored paper

PROCEDURE:

  1. Students shall perform an enquiry on natural resources in India through books and the internet. They shall collect data based on:
    • What are natural resources and which natural resources are available in India
    • Which states are abundant in which resources
    • Distribution of natural resources in India
    • Pictures, numbers and graphs associated with natural resources in India
  2. After collecting the information, students shall layout the information on a poster with various pictures, numbers, maps and graphs
  3. They represent comparable data in form of numbers or colors
  4. Students can use 2D or 3D models or objects to represent the resources DETAILS OF INTEGRATION:
  5. Mathematics: Collection of data, understanding of charts and graphs
  6. Social Science: Types of natural resources, their importance and trends
  7. Science: Factors affecting the depletion of natural resources
  8. Literature: Analytical description of data and enquiry about the subject
