Ability to encourage learning, awesome professor! Probably one of the best classes I've had at Boise State! Willingness to go above and beyond for the students. He made himself available at almost all hours of the day and night and was willing to help on assignments and I could just tell that he cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Honestly, Dr Uh is the best professor I have ever had at BSU. He has made me reconsider my major. Passion for the subject. Dr. Uh is truly passionate about both teaching and computer science, and it shows. He has an incredibly high work ethic. He goes out of his way to explain why concepts are useful and how they apply in the real world. Goes out of his way to try to get students interested and excited about computer science. Workload seemed pretty heavy, but Dr. Uh was very fair about assignment due dates. Overall an excellent professor. Open mind, well prepared, working experience outside of the campus. 1) It is great to have feedback from your assignments, specially when you did something wrong. I learned a lot through this process. It is not common that your professor takes that much time to look into your implementation so he can provide unvaluable inputs on how to improve or make it better 2) Inspirational comments, on how professor thinks the future for us would be. What are the important things we need to remember, and how the companies will start looking for people to recruit is great. I think having the professor experience working with other companies in the real world, makes a huge difference 3) Being so open and communicative, I felt really free to express myself during the class which made me learn more without being afraid of having a negative professor's reaction. 4) I really feel that I was lucky to have this professor, I learned a lot and he helped me to open my eyes in many different ways. He is truly devoted to help BSU to have a great CS deparment and to help his students. That is something I hope, this deparment could see when they evaluate him.
None, he does an excellent job!
WEEK In my opionion, the last four weeks has been really fast with really important topics that we didn't have enough time to learn. 2) Assignments The assignemnts were great. They were really helpfull to learn and they were quite a challenge. I think it could be better to reduce the number of assignments down to 5 and have a couple of homeworks to reinforce some topics. Specially the last ones, which we didn't have enough time to review. 3) Quality of the course. It is just excellent. I realize that it is probable that some students will complaint about the work load or the difficulty of this course. But I think having the assignments based on Princeton's University was the right move. I think this professor is trying to elevate the quality of this class and I think we was able to achieve this succesfully.
