TASK 2 – “Deliberately Changed”
DIRECTIONS: Get 5 songs and 5 movies that you like and change some of the lines
into your own word using imagery, diction, and figures of speech. Make sure that the
thought would not be changed. Write the title of the songs and movie shown.
A. Songs
1. As It Was (Harry Styles) – “You know it’s not the same as it was”
-Ours is like shattered pieces of glass puzzled again by tapes.
2. All Too Well 10 Minute Version (Taylor’s Version) (Taylor Swift) – “You
called me up again just to break me like a promise”
-You came back to tear me into pieces again.
3. Enough for you (Olivia Rodrigo) – “Someday I’ll be everything to
somebody else”
-Soon someone will consider me as her life.
4. Sanctuary (Joji) – “Not anyone, you’re the one, more than fun, you’re the
sanctuary”
-You are my home.
5. When You’re Gone (Shawn Mendes) – “Hold on, I don’t wanna know what
it’s like when you’re gone”
-Please stay, I can’t imagine living without you.
B. Movies
1. Titanic (1997) – “I’m the King of the World!”
-The world is my Kingdom!
2. Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016) – “Stop acting like you know my pain,
stop acting like you own it”
-You don’t have to be sympathetic with what I’m feeling. You
don’t have to put your feet on my shoes.
3. Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013) – “Don’t give comments about my
personal life because I don’t give comments about yours!”
-Leave my private life alone.
4. Starting over Again (2014) – “I deserve an explanation. I deserve an
acceptable reason.”
-You owe me big time. Spill the tea for I deserve its
indulgence.
5. Wizard of Oz (1977) – “There’s no place like home”
-My family is incomparable.
