Instructions
1. Form at most 6 groups to undertake the preparation of one of the attached case studies:
one groups for each case study. Each group must have at least 5 but no more than 6
members. Three groups will do case A and three will do case B.
2. Each person is responsible for finding a group and each group has the charge to pick a
team leader. The composition
3. Formulate carefully the assumptions to be used in the analysis. For each assumption that
is introduced, please provide a rationale for its reasonableness and its necessity.
4. Plan and prepare an effective oral presentation of your group's analysis and the set of
your recommended actions. Please pay attention to the "robustness" of the
recommendations and the need for sensitivity analysis. The sensitivity information is
important to be able to respond to any type of what if questions.
5. Document your work and prepare a summary report. Report should serve as a
comprehensive statement of the problem, the solution methodology developed and the
recommendations proposed. Each report needs to also address the sensitivity analysis
issues.The report also includes a copy of the PowerPoint slides. The Report is to be filed
both electronically and on paper.
Notes
1. The grade on this and the next project make up part of the final grade on the course.
2. The report has to be self standing and provide adequate information to both judge the
contribution of the team and to allow others to replicate what was done.
3. You can make use any type of technology/medium to prepare and present your study.
