  1. Submit your work on A4 sheets typed with text. Font: Calibri, Size: 12, Page Margins: 1 inch from each side, Paginated, Line Spacing: Single, Paragraph Spacing: 6 Points before, Justification: Full.
  2. Plagiarism will be strictly dealt with. It is in your interest to submit your own creative work and effort.
  3. Staple the hard copy of this page as title page of your submission. PLEASE WRITE YOUR NAME LEGIBILY ON EACH SHEET THAT YOU USE IN YOUR SUBMISSION.

Q.1. [Page Limit: 04 at most] You are required to describe the procedure for drilling (boring) a conventional water tubewell. The technical instrument must consist of the following elements.

  • Introduction
  • Theory or principles of operation
  • List of equipment and materials needed
  • Necessary prior knowledge and/or skills of the user
  • Major steps
  • Hazard notices (Caution, Warning)

The required steps (how to instructions) must be written in logical order. You are required to write the content material in active language using strong verbs. The logical flow of description must accompany visuals as appropriate and hazard notices, where necessary. The jargons must be explained using a glossary (definitions and terms) at the end. You can use the illustrations from the sources with proper acknowledgement. However, these must be integrated with your textual part seamlessly.
