For example: In a business setting, an employee effectively communicates their ideas and opinions during a team meeting, actively listens to others, and provides constructive feedback to create a more collaborative and productive work environment. 1.2. The importance of communication skill Both the employer and the employee need to communicate effectively. Making a deal or passing up a good deal, for instance, can depend on how effectively an argument is made. Clarifying an idea requires a certain kind of communication ability. Also, it is essential that all members of the organization understand corporate policy and that it is thoroughly presented to both consumers and employees. Everyone must have a specific level of these skills in order to achieve this (Toolshero, 2023). Various communication channels, abilities, and environmental factors can be advantageous for a firm. Also, a positive communication environment boosts overall productivity and morale. The 7Cs or communication model, dialogue mapping, the Communication Strategy Framework (CSF), and other techniques are used to foster this culture within organizations (Toolshero, 2023). Building Relationships: Communication is crucial for building strong and healthy relationships with family, friends, and colleagues. Effective communication fosters mutual understanding, trust, and respect, leading to positive and meaningful interactions. Career Advancement: Good communication skills are essential for professional success. Employers look for candidates who can communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Being able to articulate your ideas and opinions clearly and persuasively can help you stand out and advance your career. Conflict Resolution: Effective communication skills are crucial in resolving conflicts and reaching agreements. By communicating assertively and respectfully, individuals can express their needs, listen to others' perspectives, and find common ground to resolve issues. Improved Mental Health: Communication skills play a vital role in maintaining good mental health. Being able to express your thoughts and feelings effectively can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Communication also helps build social support networks, which can provide a valuable source of emotional support and help alleviate feelings of isolation. Successful Collaboration: Collaboration is essential in many aspects of life, including work, school, and social settings. Effective communication skills help individuals work together towards a common goal by sharing ideas, delegating tasks, and providing feedback.

II. Verbal communication 1.1.Difinition Verbal communication is a form of oral communication in which the message is communicated by speaking the words out loud. Here, the sender verbalizes his emotions, ideas, and viewpoints in the form of speeches, dialogues, presentations, and conversations (Techthug99, 2023). Figure 2 :Verbal communication The tone of the speaker, speech clarity, loudness, pace, body language, and the caliber of the words used in the conversation all affect how well verbal communication is conveyed. Since the message is simultaneously sent and received by the sender and recipient in the case of vocal communication, the response is immediate (Techthug99, 2023). Verbal communication refers to the use of words to convey a message or information between individuals or groups. It can take place in various settings, including face-to-face conversations, group meetings, presentations, phone calls, and video conferencing (Techthug99, 2023). Verbal communication can be either formal or informal, depending on the setting and audience. It involves not only the use of words but also tone, pitch, pace, and inflection. These elements can convey emotions, attitudes, and intentions, which can impact the effectiveness of the communication (Techthug99, 2023). 1.2. Some examples of verbal communication include  Giving a speech or presentation (Techthug99, 2023).  Participating in a group discussion or meeting (Techthug99, 2023).  Conducting a job interview (Techthug99, 2023).  Making a sales pitch (Techthug99, 2023).  Giving instructions or directions (Techthug99, 2023).  Negotiating a deal or agreement (Techthug99, 2023).

Eye contact. Since the visual sense is dominant for most people, eye contact is an especially important type of nonverbal communication. The way you look at someone can communicate many things, including interest, affection, hostility, or attraction. Eye contact is also important in maintaining the flow of conversation and for gauging the other person's interest and response (Smith, 2023). IV. Communication in my group The group members also used nonverbal communication such as facial expressions, body language, and gestures to convey their emotions, emphasize important points, and create a more engaging and enjoyable environment. This added richness to the group interactions, especially during social activities such as playing games together. Furthermore, nonverbal cues such as nodding, eye contact, and hand gestures were used to show agreement or disagreement, attentiveness, and interest in the topic being discussed. These nonverbal cues helped to improve the overall communication and understanding between group members, regardless of their language or regional differences. Additionally, the use of nonverbal communication helped to create a more inclusive environment where all members felt valued and heard, even if they were not the most vocal or fluent in the language being spoken. Overall, the combination of verbal and nonverbal communication was essential for effective group collaboration and a positive group dynamic. C.DEMONSTRATE THAT YOU HAVE USED EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS IN PLANNING AN EVENT (P2) I. Definition and the importance of time management skill 1.1.Definition of time management skill Time management skills are those that help you use your time effectively and achieve desired results. These can help you allocate your time properly and accomplish tasks efficiently. Some of the most important skills related to successful time management include: Organisation Staying organised helps you to keep track of your responsibilities and priorities, like what you need to do first and when to do the rest of it. An organised list of tasks acts as a map to guide you from morning to evening and helps increase your productivity. A well-organised plan helps you break down large goals into smaller, easily achievable tasks and enables you to complete those tasks on time (Indeed, 2021). Prioritisation Prioritisation is the key to successful time management. The author recommends that one prioritise your daily tasks, The author recommends that one ensure that you will complete the important tasks first. Write down every single task starting with the top priority. For instance, The author recommends that one can break down your tasks as the following:  A-level tasks: Things that will lead to major consequences if not done today (Indeed, 2021).

 B-level tasks: Activities that may have a negative effect if not completed today (Indeed, 2021).  C-level tasks: Activities that have no consequence if not completed today (Indeed, 2021). Target setting The process of defining your aims and objectives with a specific plan to assist you in achieving the set goals is known as goal planning. A crucial stage in becoming a successful professional is setting goals. Without goals, it might be difficult for you to complete your tasks in an efficient way. Setting long- and short-term objectives can help you succeed in your job. A short-term objective might be to boost sales in your area by 40%. A long-term objective might be to finish law school or launch your own company (Indeed, 2021). Communication Successful people have strong communication abilities. Effective communication encourages confidence and clarifies your plans and objectives to those with whom you collaborate. It is essential in resolving conflicts and averting actual and prospective conflict. Strong communication makes it easier for you to assign more work, which frees up your time for the crucial duties that advance your objectives (Indeed, 2021). Planning The foundation of time management is planning. You can prioritize your tasks correctly with a good strategy, which can help you avoid confusion and needless stress. You can finish the tasks within the allotted time limit with the aid of a planned work schedule. A project manager's plan, for instance, might call for ordering materials, scheduling labor, getting the necessary permits, and other things (Indeed, 2021). Delegation The ability to successfully manage numerous tasks is a crucial procedure. You can assign some of the duties to your subordinates while overseeing a project. Your workload will be lessened as a result, allowing you to give more attention to crucial duties like planning, business analysis, and other similar ones (Indeed, 2021). Stress reduction Despite all obstacles, maintaining a positive attitude while under stress keeps you motivated and aids in finishing duties on time. You can decrease stress by exercising, practicing yoga, or eating snacks while taking breaks. In reality, incorporating self-care rituals or stress-relieving activities into your daily schedule can increase your productivity on work-related tasks throughout the day (Indeed, 2021).
