Name : Noriel D. Aranza Date : April 8, 2021 Year and Course : BSED FILIPINO III-A Instructor : Mr Mark Jed Arevalo ‘Dreaming Filipinos’ Filipinos are well known on any countries to be lovable, generous, and hard working as a Filipinos, we are easily adapted and embrace our cultures and perspectives, but in a many years ago, after being colonized by some nations, we are also adapted the cultures, beliefs and values of the other superior group, we can’t deny the reality that we are also easy to get, can easily bribed, that the other country or particular will benefited at last, especially on culture aspect, some of our fellow countrymen believe that if you are have an influence with the other country on the aspect of products and services that you gained, they believe that you’re an upper class, this aspect also refer to the cultural concept called xenocentrism, which an individual loves the other culture instead on his/her own, and also sometimes they have a belief that if they going to migrate on the other country, life will be changed into a good one that the ethnocentrism occurs, when they believe the one superior group are in the highest point, they proud of other culture instead of their own, well I believe that is true, but there are instances that other group or country discriminate us, because of the lack of a consciousness and awareness of the Filipino, but I’m very against with that, based on the video, there’s one question that I heard many times, what is the problem with the Filipino? By the way, all of us have a problem within culture, we must not degrade and discriminate other cultures and beliefs, if we have a problem, we must solve our own before we criticize others.
