I ________________________________, promise to do my best to make mature and the
right decisions, holding myself accountable to a high standard of integrity, hard
work, and commitment to excellence. I promise to do my best to understand and
respect my personal responsibilities, my freedom of expression, my duty to serve
others and my school, the proper care for properties and the environment in which I
share with others. I pledge to do the best of my God-given abilities to live in peace
and harmony with my fellow students at (name of the course) community on El
Salvador City, and our beloved City College of El Salvador always respecting myself,
others, and our traditional values and cultures.
BSSW PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT
I _____________________________ solemnly swear that I will dedicate the rest of
my life to serving others and doing good deeds. In accordance with my
profession's ideals, principles, and ethical standards, I will practice it
responsibly, with integrity, and with dignity. I will always put my client's
welfare first, and even when our working relationship is over, I will keep any
secrets that have been entrusted in me in strict confidence. I shall do
everything in my power to uphold the reputation and traditions of the social
work profession. I will not prohibit factors such as gender, age, religion,
color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical or mental capacity, political
ideology, or social economic standing from interfering with my performance
of my duty or the interests of my client. I'll be considerate of differences in
culture and ethnicity and work to eradicate oppression, poverty, and other
types of social injustice. The intrinsic worth and dignity of every human being
will always be something I uphold, even if it puts my life in danger. I firmly,
freely, and in good faith make these commitments.
