Training Programs BUS Training Programs Training is a process in which trainees get to be taught various ways to handle external business. Expatriate refers to business individuals who go to other countries intending to run the business. Therefore, they need to be trained to address the challenges involved with the international industry. There are specific programs that aim to guide or teach expatriates from a
multinational corporation related to perfecting a diverse workforce. The expatriate will represent the Mae-Leigh Resources and NCR companies. Orientation training program This type of training is offered to a new hire whenever he or she is first joining the company. The new expatriates of Mae-Leigh and NCR will be introduced to their companies. The main emphasy is a smooth transition from the employees’ former companies to the companies (Mendenhall & Oddou, n.d ). In that connection, this training program also emphasizes helping the employees familiarize themselves with Mae-Leigh and NCR essential elements. These include the companies’ mission and values, processes, cultures, and also their internal infrastructures. For instance, the new expatriates of Mae-leigh with have gained experience in employee relation management, administrative support, and even in job analysis. NCR new expatriates will have also been taken through the basic operations associated with payment processing and also the key policies governing their operations. Compliance training program This is the second program after the orientation program. The program emphasizes the safety of the workplace. It takes the new employees through the specific policies and procedures and laws and regulations governing particular companies. The new expatriates of Mae-Leigh and NCR need to be taken through their companies’ policies governing their conduct code that prevents unwanted mishaps. By the end of this program, the new NCR employees and Mae- Leigh would have gained their experience in minimizing risks and maintaining a company’s reputation.
action, expatriates will represent their companies better, thus winning good deals in the market (Velten, 2015). Health safety and security training program This type of program focuses on protecting expatriates' health from the two companies while working in the international market. This program is vital to them since they will be exposed to various scenarios. Thus they are needed to gather enough knowledge and skills that will enable them to defend themselves even in problematic situations. The areas that will be emphasized for the expatriates getting ready for their new assignment will include ensuring they keep fit by exercising and eating a healthy diet (KASIKA, 2019). It is also essential for them to go for a regular check-up to ensure that they are fit for the new environment. This training program will improve expatriates' experience from the two companies as they will handle the problematic situations and challenges in the outside market more efficiently. Food safety program This is a training program that requires expatriates to learn the kind and quality of foods they should take whenever they conduct their daily activities in the international market. The necessary training needs to be articulated with this program include food hygiene and a balanced diet. Therefore, it is the role of Mae-Leigh Resources and NCR companies to ensure that they educate their expatriates of proper and hygienic food to be taken. It is of great advantage to involve a nutritionist when expatriates are being trained since they will be able to learn the best ways to keep healthy and eat clean food (Mendenhall & Oddou, n.d ). When the time comes to
be involved in the new market, they will positively and therefore eat healthy despite being in a new environment. References Velten, Justin C.. International Research and Review, v5 n1 p46-57 Fall 2015. (EJ1148969)
