Urban

An urban area is nonrural and nonagricultural.

Urbanization – By the Numbers In More Developed countries (MDC’s) nearly 75% of the population lives in cities In Less Developed Countries (LDC’s) only 40% of the population lives in cities Numbers are changing quickly – because LDCs are urbanizing at a rate much faster than the MDCs.

Urbanization – By the Numbers Africa and Asia are the least urbanized continents. North America is the most urbanized.
