Using the Effect Options
We already know how to change the order of the text box effect in the order list by moving it up or
down. Now, click the drop-down arrow next to it to reveal some of the effect options you can
modify, as shown in Figure 13.8:
zStart on Click— Wait for a mouse click before it appears
zStart with Previous— Appears simultaneously with prior event in the order list
zStart After Previous— Appears automatically __ seconds (set by you) after previous event
zEffect Options— Set more options for the animation
zTiming— Determine the speed of the animation
zShow Advanced Timeline— See a more precise preview
zRemove— Delete this effect from the order list

Using the Effect Options

We already know how to change the order of the text box effect in the order list by moving it up or down. Now, click the drop-down arrow next to it to reveal some of the effect options you can modify, as shown in Figure 13.8:

z Start on Click— Wait for a mouse click before it appears

z Start with Previous— Appears simultaneously with prior event in the order list

z Start After Previous— Appears automatically __ seconds (set by you) after previous event

z Effect Options— Set more options for the animation

Click Show Advanced Timeline to get a more precise playback window for your effects, as shown in Figure 13.9. Click Play or Slide Show to see how the effects will play sequentially before fine-tuning them further. Play will preview them in Normal view; Slide Show will show the slide in full screen size as it would be presented.
