Week 2 iHuman Assignment Reflection Worksheet Please read the assignment guidelines and rubric. Respond substantively to each self-reflection question below. Write on this template. A. Assess your ability to gather information on your client within the iHuman Virtual Patient Encounter.

1. Use the iHuman score sheet to review your results for the focused health history and focused physical exam. How did you perform? I successfully identified and recorded all the significant patient symptoms and health history features during the focused health history part. I achieved 89% completion in the focused physical exam section. I examined the patients accurately in 13 out of 25 cases and entered appropriate data for two more cases. These results indicate that even though the health history was obtained in full, interpreting and performing physical examinations in a virtual setting continues to pose difficulties for many newcomers to virtual patient platforms (Sezer et al., 2023). 2. What did you find easy or difficult about navigating through the focused health history and focused physical exam sections of the case? I found it straightforward to collect detailed histories from my patients thanks to the virtual platform which led me down a systematic path of questions. However, the focused physical exam posed greater challenges because of the need to execute virtual exam maneuvers and interpret faint clues without seeing the patient in person. This problem is consistent with studies that show

extensive information enables clinical reasoning and adheres to clinical completeness requirements in virtual care.

3. Describe one strategy to improve your performance in the next Virtual Patient Encounter. I will incorporate structured templates that identify important positive and negative elements which helps improve the accuracy and efficiency of my documentation. This approach is backed by studies demonstrating that structured training improves the quality of clinical notes in virtual consultations (Plackett et al., 2022). **C. Assess your performance in determining key findings and reviewing the most significant active problem.

  1. What did you find easy or difficult about navigating through the key findings and organization section of the case?** Finding areas of most concern was relatively easy because of the orderly way symptoms were presented. Organizing and determining which symptom groups posed the greatest challenge for me. Differentiation necessitates analytical thinking, a skill that is created by virtual patient simulations to help build over time. 2. How did your key findings compare with the expert's findings? My top clinical issues lined up closely with the expert's list of key symptoms: fatigue, dry cough, headache, myalgia, fever, sore throat, and enlarged cervical lymph nodes. My agreement

with the expert shows that the virtual patient platform helped steer my clinical evaluation and critical thinking skills (Padilha et al., 2024).

3. Describe one strategy to improve your performance in the next Virtual Patient Encounter. Improving prioritization involves learning clinical decision-making methods and analyzing cases in which expert physicians excel. Exposure to diverse virtual patients enhances clinical detection and problem solving abilities, consistently demonstrated in recent clinical reasoning research (Plackett et al., 2022). **D. Assess your performance in creating and documenting a problem statement within the iHuman case.

  1. What did you find easy or difficult about creating the problem statement?** The structured case presentation simplified my efforts in designing the problem statement, although consolidating extensive clinical data proved taxing. Gaining skills in creating a concise yet comprehensive problem statement improves with experience and careful consideration, skills virtual patient cases help build up.
  2. How did your problem statement compare with the expert’s response provided? My problem statement was longer and more detailed than the expert’s because I tried to include everything important from the clinical information. Although I presented a detailed description, I understand the importance of sharpening the clarity of the presentation to align with the highest standards in clinical education (Padilha et al., 2024).
