The basic parts of a desktop computer are the computer
case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cord. Each part
plays an important role whenever you use a computer.

A desktop computer is made up of several basic parts:
1: Computer case: The computer case is metal and plastic
box which contains the main components of a computer
icluding,the motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), and
power supply (This is where the actual processing happens).
Today most cases are tower cases, which means they stand
up vertically. Sometimes you may see a horizontal case,
which is often called a desktop case.
2: Monitor: In order to view anything on your computer,
you will need to have a monitor.The monitor connects to the
video card inside your computer case to display images and
texts on screen. Newer monitors have LCD or LED displays,
which can be very thin, so they do not use much desk space,
are often called at-panel displays. To save even more
space you can buy an all-in-one computer, which combines
the monitor and the computer case into a single unit (e.g.,
mac). Old monitors use CRT displays, CRT monitors are much
larger and heavier, and they take up more desk space.
3: keyboard: The keyboard is one of the main ways to
communicate with a computer. There are many dierent
types of keyboards, keyboards come in dierent shapes and
sizes (e.g., wireless keyboard or ergonomic).
4: Mouse: The mouse is an another important tool to
interact with computer, commonly known as pointing
