o Highlight and copy (C) paragraphs from your letter o Paste (V) into a new word processing document o Save as “About Me” into your Computer Skills folder. o Pull down the File menu - choose Page Setup ♣ Change orientation to landscape (horizontal) o Insert a header (hint: look under the View menu at the top) ♣ Left justify your name, period and date in header o Switch to footer (there’s a button for this in the header/footer toolbar) ♣ Use AutoText to add page number to the footer ♣ Close the header/footer toolbar ♣ Save (S) o In the Formatting Palette , open Font and Alignment and Spacing ♣ Select all – A. ♣ Change font to Geneva, size 12, ♣ Change line spacing to 1. ♣ Save. o Open Document in the Formatting Palette ♣ Change left and right margins to 0. o Add title: ♣ Center ♣ Bold ♣ Size 16 ♣ PRESS RETURN. o Insert Break – Section Break (Continuous) o Highlight paragraphs only and format for two columns o At end of first paragraph, insert a table with 2 columns and 8 rows (look under the Table menu at the top). ♣ Title the left column “Period.” ♣ Title the right column “Class.” ♣ List period numbers and classes for today. ♣ Save. o Insert one clipart of your own choice into the middle of the 2nd paragraph. ♣ Grab a corner and resize to 1 inch high. o Wrap text around clipart: ♣ Open Wrapping in Formatting Palette. ♣ Click In line with text ♣ Choose Tight. o Save. o o

Click on the PDF button (bottom left) o Choose PDF. o In the Save box, add your last name in front of Formatting in the Save As box at the top (see example below). o Choose your Home folder (has your name, looks like a little house) on the left side of the Save As box, and click on your Public folder. o Click Save.
