Branch at Eastern Mall is chosen
Full shift : 8am – 10pm
Morning shift, night shift : 8 hours excluding lunch/dinner breaks (1 hour),
overlapping occurs
Employees take turns for their lunch/ dinner breaks
Employees given 1 off day per week
Lunch breaks ranging from 11am-2pm, dinner breaks from 4pm-7pm
Store layout and department are categorised by category and floor
Hierarchy :
For sales assistant: Store in charge > operation executive (optional) > supervisor >
assistant supervisor > senior sales assistant > sales assistant
For cashier: senior cashier > assistant senior cashier > cashier
Number of cashier is fixed
As for now, more manpower is allocated in the morning
Non-replaceable public holiday : labour day, independence day (31August), Agong’s
birthday, TYT’s birthday
Junior: 15 < age < 18, limit 7 hours of work per day, not later than 8pm, salary same
as part-timer
Peak periods : before seasonal celebrations > promotions (normally after paydays) >
weekends
Cut-off date for salary : 21st each month – 20th next month

  • If staffs stay back more than 8 hours, 1 hour must be given for them to have a break ; if staffs stay back less than 8 hours but more than 4 hours, 30 mins must be given for them to rest
  • Salaries for juniors and part-timers are calculated per hour
  • Part-timer’s working hours must be less than 70% of permanent staff’s working hours
  • Salaries for permanent and contract are paid by month ( basic salary / 26days)
  • Permanent staffs suppose work for 6 days per week, 8 hours per day. If they work 7 days per week, one rest day salary with be paid

  • Most preferable working shift is morning shift > off day > afternoon shift
