Nowadays, smoking can be seen as an ordinary habit due to its commonness. The amount of smokers are increasing day by day, including both men and women gender. More dangerously, there is a tendency of their ages now becoming much younger than those in the past. From my viewpoint, smoking should be banned completely because of its harmful effects, including both physical and positive aspects. Firstly, it is undeniable that smoking worsen the physical well- being. It is a definite link between smoking and serious diseases, such as lung problems or even cancer. Even more noticeably, it not only affects just the smokers but also all other people around him. Many research have shown that if individuals accidentally absorb smoking air, their health will also be affected negatively, even more terrible to smokers’ himself, compared to non-smokers. Therefore, smoking presents a terrible physical condition of all the smokers and non-smokers. Secondly, smoking can somehow influence people’s mentality in a bad manner. Many can easily notice that one of the most easy-to- recognize differences between people who smoke and those do not is their focus ability. Smoke addicts tend to lose their focus frequently and use cigarette as a method to lift their spirits. Without using it, they often feel sleepy, bored and distracted, which will weaken their impression and working performance as well. In conclusion, while many opponents of banning smoking believe that it serves as a commodity contributing a considerable amount to government budget, I firmly advocate to eliminate and impose a high fine for cigarette’s users to prevent people from suffering dangerous illness and awfully societal prejudices.
