Adjective complement
•As the name suggests, they are complements of adjectives
•They are usually found when the adjective is in predicative position
•In English some adjectives require a complement in order to have meaning, while in
other case it is optional
•An adjective complement can present itself as PP or CP, e.g.:
Geoffrey is afraid of spiders and snakesPP.
I am addicted to sweetsPP.
She is skilled at baking cupcakesPP.
Mary is tired of John calling her a liarPP.
I am very happy to know youCP.
Anthony was so thankful that he passed the testCP.
