ARTICLE ABOUT CYBERBULLYING
Cyberbullying- bullying in the Digital age
Cyberbullying represents the dark side of the digital era we are living in. It is a new form of
bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell-phones, computers, and so on.
Cyberbullying can include harassment (insults or threats), impersonation, spreading rumours or
exclusion. These activities can be performed via e-mail, instant messaging (SMS), text
message, social networking sites such as Facebook or Instagram, and other websites.
Cyberbullying can be more pervasive than traditional bullying. While traditional bullying is
generally limited to school and home, victims of cyberbullying can be reached anywhere and
anytime.
