DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION
THE CONTEXTUALITATION
Comprehensive Institute Santa Beatrice located in the extreme south- west periphery of Rome in a purely residential area. In this Institute there are Infant and Primary school, and for this project was decided a class of third grade.
THE AGENTS INVOLVED
● (^) Primary school ● (^) Teachers ● (^) Students
- (^) Family: collaborates with the school and the pupils for participation and creation of the activities****.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- (^) Encourage children to use their knowledge and skills for human rights online like: the freedom and the privacy.
- (^) Active participation by small citizens with digital environments.
- (^) Access to digital technology is an important and integral part of everyday life.
KEY COMPETENCES
Digital competence involves the confident, critical and responsible use of and engagement with digital technologies for learning, at work, and for participation in society. It includes:
- Information and data literacy
- Communication and collaboration
- Media literacy
- Digital content creator
- Safety (digital well-being and competences related to cybersecurity)
- Intellectual property related questions, problem solving and critical thinking.
THE METHODOLOGICAL CHOICES

- (^) Flipped Classroom
THE PLANNING OF ACTIVITIES
P rimary School (1- 3 level) First Semester: The students create public service announcements on digital citizenship ● (^) Activity 1: Assign each student or group a subtopic. ● (^) Activity 2 : The students speak to them (only 2- minutes) ● (^) Activity 3 : Use online video creators like Animoto or Spark Adobe. ● (^) Activity 4 : Create the video or green screening. ● (^) Second Semester: students finish the service ● (^) Activity 1: The students create their script, with the collaboration features for example Google Docs and Office 365
