Different points of view
Nowadays, public opinion about technology is divided between those who think that the development of
technology has made life easier, and those who think that it is harmful and that it is creating monsters. In
general, most young people love technology, because they have been using it since they were children.
Many adults instead regret the times when the development of technology was very limited, while some of
them have learned to appreciate it.
Advantages and disadvantages
A first advantage of technology is that it has made the work of many people much more efficient, for
istance today it is common in schools to find tablets and computers that make learning much more
effective for students and also many companies use internet and mail to communicate better with their
customers. Another positive aspect is the ability to learn how to do new things without having to pay for
courses, in fact on the internet it is easy and free to find video tutorials that teach cooking, teach a new
language, a method of study and so on. However, there are also negative aspects of the technology, it
could make people lazy, because thanks to the technology you do not have to make efforts to find an
information of any kind. In addition more and more children and teenagers prefer to spend their free time
playing video games, chatting online and using social networks rather than going out with friends, so
technology has been accused of increasing social distance.
A middle ground
In conclusion, the best thing would be to find a middle ground in the use of technology and not become a
slave to technology, because if you used it moderately and intelligently it would not be a bad thing, but
only a great big help in daily life.
