What type of holiday is city break? If you could go on one this month, where would
you most like to go to?
Imagine i’m going on the city break in. I can only take a small suitcase. Which of the
things would I definitly pack?
I’d definitly pack trainers,Pijiamas, Books, Umbrella, Camera,First aid kit, Iron,
Headphones, Charger and plug/phone, Passport, Towel.
Which one would you definitly not pack? Iron (ferro da stiro) for example.
Have you ever forgotten to pack something really important when you went on
holiday?
What do you think are the top three things british people forget?

  • per azioni che sono in progresso al momento e per cose che avvengono around now e sono solitamente temporanee, non azioni abituali. (es. this week I’, driving to worl, usually I take the bus).
  • per future arrangements (cose pianificate e organizzate) I’m making lunch. I make lunch at the weekend. I’m having a shower at the moment. They’re thinking of going on a cruise. I see what you mean. I’m seeing the hotel manager tomorrow morning. I’m leaving tomorrow.
  • present simple for “timetable” future (es. treni, aereo, ecc.) The train leaves at 6 am every morning Esercizio The flight leaves at 6.50 in the morning We need to check in two hours ahead, so we are going to the airport the night before, and we are staying in an airport hotel. The first part of the flight to singapore takes 14 hours, and we’re breaking the journey there for a couple of days. The flight gets in (timetable) at nearly midnight, but our friends are meeting us at the airport and they are looking after us for a week or so (temporary reaction for the future). Then we are travelling round North and South island- we’re renting (arrangements in the future) a camper van. We have to be back in Auckland on 22nd february.
