Nuclear energy, a controversial source
Nuclear energy is a controversial source, it produces a lot of energy and heat
but the risk for the nature is very high. If you can't control it, it causes serious
and irreversible damage to ecosystems of the Earth. Serious accidents have
already happened, such as Japan, and the idea is there are more problems than
the positive eects. It takes centuries and centuries for a disaster ripare.
In Italy we have a shortage of energy sources, we hunger for energy, and we
import it from around the world. We can individually satisfy a small percentage
of demand. Nuclear power is a possible solution, but it's still too dangerous and
the population is not in favor of its development.
I think this source does not represent a future, but already past. We need to
develop renewable and ecological technologies. If the risks are high for nature
it's not convenient: it would be a waste of time, studies and energy, but
human; in addition to not give anything to future generations.
