Born in Stratford on April 1564. Son of a glover and small landowner, he was an important English playwright; He got married and had children; He left his family to seek his fortune in London, where he became an actor, playwright and theater manager; In 1610 he retired from the scene and died in 1616.
Part of his life is shrouded in mystery: did he really exist?
The debate over the attribution of Shakespeare's works began in the eighteenth century and concerns the discussion of whether the works attributed to William Shakespeare could have been written by another author or by a group of men of letters.
Built in 1614, closed in 1642 and demolished in 1644. Rebuilt in 1987 after a great fire in 1666. Where the Shakespeare company performed (The Lord Chamberlain's Men). The globe was different: it was what is known as a thrust theater with a stage that extended out into the audience. It was outdoors, so Shakespeare's actors could see the audience and engage with them as they performed.
