LIFE Ɣ William Blake was born on 28 November in 1757 in London, from a humble family Ɣ From a very early age his artistic talent emerged: he began an apprenticeship to become an engraver , and after becoming an engraver he began his career as a painter after being taken at the Royal Academy of Art's School of Design Ɣ Thanks to the Bible , which has been a point of reference since childhood, brought the poet to have a strong religious feeling. Ɣ Blake died in London in 1827 a
*$"Ļ/'./0$, His Christianity is neither liturgical nor moralistic: he believes in reality but blames Christinaity for the fragmentation of consciousness and the dualism that characterizes human life. To this dualistic view he replaced that of ' 'complementary opposities ƅƅÆ God and the Devil, man and woman, kindness and cruelty, etc. For Blake, the opposite states exist in parallel and are simultaneous ; according to him, the possibility of progress lies in considering these two states as coexisting and not opposing.
