ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:01 AM

The P5 exam is not really focused on calculations, there will be some which you should attempt but the majority of marks are scored through your interpretation of the numbers

MARTIN COELHO on 05.13.2015 at 08:02 AM

what would you say is the ratio of that? numerical to written

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:02 AM

The answer to regression is the same for learning curves

NULL LIM TENG TENG on 05.13.2015 at 08:02 AM

Hi. any specific topic that we should focus on for Jun 2015 P5?

NANDINI VERMA on 05.13.2015 at 08:02 AM

ok thanks

DAVID GLENNIE on 05.13.2015 at 08:02 AM

Is there any advice on time management? This seems to be the only paper that I really struggle with this aspect of the exam? Is it acceptable to answer with bullet points or is it required to go into full detail and paragraphs?

IBILOLA PATRICIA BANWO on 05.13.2015 at 08:03 AM

what are the key topics that are assumed knowledge from f5 and what is your advice on exam technique

ASHOK RAO on 05.13.2015 at 08:03 AM

How important is BPR for this exam?. There was a question in the June 14 exam and also in the practice and revision kit.

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:03 AM

Unfortunately the F5 syllabus is assumed knowledge on P5 so questions from that syllabus can pop up - I would say though that it is not an F5 exam so it wouldn't be heavily focused on assumed knowledge

NULL CASSAM BIBI NAZIHAH on 05.13.2015 at 08:04 AM

should we not depreciate marketing cost training or advertising when capitalising for eva , i refer to Cantor quest

MAGDALENA DRAZEK on 05.13.2015 at 08:04 AM

answer provided in: bullet points or form of a notes, will be acceptable?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:04 AM

I think you can work on an 80:20 ratio, written to numerical

JONG YAO CHENG on 05.13.2015 at 08:04 AM

What does the examiner expect to see from the students?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:05 AM

Here are some useful technical articles and exam technique articles that you should read http://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/exam-support- resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p5/technical-articles.html

ASHOK RAO on 05.13.2015 at 08:05 AM

Is it ok to write up the appendix to Q1 first before the main body of the report? Also can one attempt the requirements in each question in any order?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:05 AM

I don't recommend you question spot on P5, questions can be from a mix of different syllabus areas - if you revise from past exams, maybe focus on the last three to four years you should get a very good coverage of the syllabus

HAFSA KHALID on 05.13.2015 at 08:05 AM

Sir,I think You give one topic for 5min and open questioning for that. All participants are asking questions whom detailed answers are available in ACCA articles

MOHAMMAD IBRAHIM SAMEJA on 05.13.2015 at 08:06 AM

Is my understanding of the EVA treatment correct?

AMINA HARUNA on 05.13.2015 at 08:07 AM

If my calculation is wrong but my analysis is correct will I still get the mark?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:07 AM

Hasfa, this is a session for students to ask their last minute revision questions

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:07 AM

Time Management is absolutely essential for all the ACCA exams so you must discipline yourself and attempt every part of every question. I wouldn't write in paragraphs but I would use full sentences. Make a point in a sentence and leave a line before you make the next. Each point must be explain, try using "because" at the end of each point.

IBILOLA PATRICIA BANWO on 05.13.2015 at 08:07 AM

costing, transfer pricing .how many marks will these carry if they feature.? what are the topis from f5 that may feature?

HAFSA KHALID on 05.13.2015 at 08:08 AM

ok,thanks

MARTIN COELHO on 05.13.2015 at 08:08 AM

thank you, do you know when Kaplan will be releasing its 'Key Examinable Areas' document, it still hasn't been uploaded on the MyKaplan :)

MOHAMMAD IBRAHIM SAMEJA on 05.13.2015 at 08:08 AM

Will transfer pricing come up in a calculations format like in P5?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:08 AM

Yes, the appendix can come first and you may attempt questions in any order. although for question 1, your report looks more professional if you answer the question in order

MOHAMMAD IBRAHIM SAMEJA on 05.13.2015 at 08:08 AM

How many marks does ratios like MIRR carry?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:10 AM

Activity Based Costing and Transfer Pricing could both be examined, written and calculation and could both be a full questiion

HUAN JILL SIM on 05.13.2015 at 08:11 AM

Hi Richard, I am confused on the treatment of Amortisation of Goodwill. Is Amortisation equals to Depreciation of GW? I attempted few questions based on Kaplan Materials, but realised that it sometimes being deducted in EVA but sometimes the other way round. I am not sure when it should be deducted and when it should be added back.

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:11 AM

BPR is on the syllabus and so could be examined, I'm not sure it would appear so soon as it was only examined a year ago....but you never know!

Yes, reverse, means to add it back

MARTIN COELHO on 05.13.2015 at 08:21 AM

In terms of current issues, I have looked at EMA, League Tables, Target Setting in the Public Sector and Integrated Reporting, are there any current issues which I have missed out on? Thanks

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:21 AM

The formats you've needed so far are just report, it would like an email header, to, from, date, title....introduction and then use headings though out, with a conclusion a the end

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:21 AM

It looks like you've covered all the current issues

MOHAMMAD IBRAHIM SAMEJA on 05.13.2015 at 08:21 AM

Impairment of G/w is to be deducted from the NOPAT , you can't add it back yes?

ROSE MERETH MUGIDE on 05.13.2015 at 08:22 AM

What is the difference between performance measurement, and performance management?

MARTIN COELHO on 05.13.2015 at 08:22 AM

you are a star - thank you :)

NULL CASSAM BIBI NAZIHAH on 05.13.2015 at 08:22 AM

y is null appear infront of my name. what is this

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:23 AM

If your calculations are wrong, as with all ACCA exams you will still get the marks if your analysis is correct for your numbers

ABOSEDE TOLULOPE OYENUGA on 05.13.2015 at 08:23 AM

I just joined, will this session be recorded?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:23 AM

Abosede, we'll be posting a transcript in the P5 study group and on the learning resources area of the learning community

ASHOK RAO on 05.13.2015 at 08:24 AM

if one has overrun on time for the calculations, is it ok to just make up a figure and base ones analysis on that?

CHOON YONG ANG on 05.13.2015 at 08:26 AM

is EVA question high possibility to appear again for June sitting?

NULL CASSAM BIBI NAZIHAH on 05.13.2015 at 08:26 AM

BSC or Lynch n cross or Fitzerald , which will b more likely to appear in exam

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:26 AM

Choon - there's no way of knowing what will be in the exam - you have to learn the entire syllabus

If you don't complete calculations, you can make an assumption about the number and analyse that, try to come up with something that looks sensible for the question

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:27 AM

Cassam - there's no way of knowing what will be in the exam - as said to Choon just now, you have to learn the entire syllabus

MARTIN COELHO on 05.13.2015 at 08:27 AM

The examiner has a habit of asking obscurely worded questions, apart from reading the requirement twice what advice would you offer to ensure you don't end up answering the questions wrongly? Thanks

JONG YAO CHENG on 05.13.2015 at 08:27 AM

What's your advice for final preparation for this exam sitting?

ACCA on 05.13.2015 at 08:27 AM
