Animal Characteristics: Mammals, Reptiles, Birds, and Insects, Assignments of Biology

The characteristics of various animal classes, including mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects. Mammals are identified by their mammary glands and endothermy, while reptiles have low metabolic rates and can regulate temperature. Birds are known for their ability to fly and are adapted for oviparous reproduction. Insects are the most important heterotrophs in ecosystems and have unique adaptations. References are provided.

ANIMAL CHARACTERISTICS
Mammals characteristics are made by the (mammary gland) that is the part that let
them produce milk, also one of the characteristics is that they have four limbs the
limbs in some groups are highly specialized for locomotion and feeding. Also, in
mammals also have something called endothermy that helps them to control the
highly temperatures [CITATION Phi16 \l 3082 ]
The difference between reptiles and other animals because they have low
metabolic rates reptiles drain environmental sources less than the birds and
mammals do. One of the important discovers is that desert reptiles can regulate its
temperature. [ CITATION Ray82 \l 3082 ]
Birds are mostly recognized by their ability to fly , but not all birds can fly , however
they body is actually the same . General speaking birds are conformed by feathers
a pair of wings, hind limbs and a pointed beak. Birds have different adaptations
from other vertebrates animals like different skeleton had been modified they have
other modified that is exclusively oviparous ( egg laying) [ CITATION JEd10 \l 3082 ]
Insects are the more important heterotrophs in ecosystem, during outbreaks of the
gypsy moth when that occurs infrequently , they are normal in some ecosystem
and can have long times of duration in some communities they try to get save
cause of other animals . [ CITATION Jon12 \l 3082 ]
