Open your original Assignment 4 ( a04_bio_lastname.htm ) and use the HTML tags learned in class to add more elements to your web page. Create your HTML document using an ASCII text application such as Notepad. Fill in answers to questions below, save this Word document, and FTP this completed assignment along with your webpage and images to the Classwork server.
Use the existing a04_bio_lastname.htm file from the previous assignment.
Your web page should include the following: Altered background color OR background image (1 pt.) Altered default body text color (not black) and at least 1 example of a different (overriding) text color within the body of your document. At least one example should use a hexidecimal value (2 pts.) Altered link, visited link, and active link colors (do not use the default of blue and purple) (3 pts.) One (working) external absolute hyperlink to another website (1 pt.) One (working) external relative hyperlink to practice.htm that you created in class (1 pt.) One (working) e-mail link (1 pt.) One (working) internal link (2 pts.) A table with the following criteria (8 points) At least 3 rows and at least 3 columns (more is acceptable) Alter the width of the table so it is not 100% of the browser window. Align the table to the left, center, or right side of the browser window. Align text within the table to the left, center, or right of the cells. You can choose to align whole rows or individual cells. Vertically align text within the table either to the top, middle, or bottom of the cells. Show one example of either cell spacing or cell padding. Good content: Interesting, well-written, no typos or grammatical errors. (1 pt.) Correctly named files (no spaces or characters in filenames, proper extensions), all posted to classwork server. BONUS : Add up to two additional tags. One bonus point for each tag used correctly (up to two points). Review the HTML Resources provided in your EXTERNAL LINKS section of BlackBoard (Big Nose Bird, Wikipedia, and Bare Bones) or use your own resources. The possibilities are endless! Include all of the elements listed above. Name your web page bio_lastname.htm and save it on your disk in the folder you created named a04_bio_lastname. Save your images inside the images folder. FTP your a04_bio_lastname folder and all its contents to the classwork server. View your webpage through Internet Explorer from the server (http://classwork.bgsu.edu) to make sure it works properly. Check all of your links. Print out source code from browser. Staple source code behind this FILLED OUT assignment sheet. On top, left corner, write your name and class directory (ex. kktc264u). Assignment is due February 10, 2009.
