List down at least three good research topics related to your strand. Then, write the research title for each
listed topic List down its parameters afterwards. Lastly, choose only one as the best title that will serve as
your working research title for the entire school year. Attach together with the chosen best title set/s of
validated questionnaires/tools/scales that will measure the research variable
Research Topics:
1. Caffeine Consumption- It is a type of legal stimulant drug that can be added or naturally
included in some beverages or foods. Caffeine is said to be used to improve mental alertness,
that is beneficial. The problem is that if caffeine consumption is not monitored or
moderately consumed.
2. Radio Frequency Energy (RF radiation)- the exposure to high levels of Radio Frequency
Energy Radiation can heat biological tissue rapidly.
3. Covid-19 Pandemic on Students- the pandemic is changing the lifestyle of people. This
includes the physical and mental health of a person, the way they perceive their everyday
lives.
RESEARCH TITLES:
The Effects of Caffeine Consumption on Academic Performance of Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics Students of First City Providential College
Relationship Between Prolong Exposure to Laptop and Phone's Radiation to Eye Damage
among Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Students of First City
Providential College
The Effects of Covid-19 Pandemic on Physical and Mental Health of Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics Students of First City Providential College
(As a researcher, I focused on health-related studies.)

  1. Radio Frequency Energy (RF radiation)- the exposure to high levels of Radio Frequency** **Energy Radiation can heat biological tissue rapidly.
  2. Covid-19 Pandemic on Students- the pandemic is changing the lifestyle of people. This** includes the physical and mental health of a person, the way they perceive their everyday lives. FIRST CHOICE OF TITLE: The Effects of Caffeine Consumption on Academic Performance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Students of First City Providential College RESEARCH PARAMETERS:Aims of Research:
  1. To educate about what caffeine is according to different branches of science. Perception of caffeine in chemistry as a psychoactive drug, Cognitive effect according in psychology, and its potential health effects according in medical field.
  2. This study could be used by health care professionals to recognize STEM from FCPC students’ awareness of caffeine’s potential effects to these said students. It can give them an overview about their lifestyle as a student.
  3. Health, Academic Performance, and well-being are interrelated.
  4. Caffeine consumption habits need to be studied prospectively to see if a population is overconsuming caffeine, not using caffeine, experiencing any harmful health effects, as well as both positive and negative effects as a result.
  5. To know what is the average amount of caffeine consumed by the subjects of this research, and why these students consume caffeine.
  6. This research student friendly, as the students also need to be educated about caffeine and its effect both in their health and academics.
  7. As the modern world and generation evolves, these students might change their habits in the next days, weeks, or years later. This research might help them remind the effects of caffeine in themselves.
  8. Lastly, is to ensure to talk about not just the effects of caffeine on academic performance, but also its health factors and science behind it. Academic performance is also related in physical and cognitive being of a student.  Scope:
  9. This study is a correlational quantitative design and aim the test of variables: Caffeine Consumption (Independent Variable) and Academic Performance (Dependent Variable). Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Students of First City Providential College will be the subjects and locale of the study.
  10. The study aims to investigate the overall status of Caffeine Consumption of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Students of First City Providential and its effects to their Academic Performance.
  11. The variables under the academic performance (student performance) as a dependent variable in this research are gender, age, self-awareness, academic activities or performance, and student’s grades or output.

Type of Research:

  1. This research is a correlational quantitative research design. This research design has an ability to describe and study a phenomena’s relationship or effects to another different phenomena.  Methodology:
  2. Convenience sampling method by the use of survey questionnaire will be applied in this research to provide a population of potential respondents.
