Prewriting is the planning phase of the writing process. The drafting phase of the writing process entails the actual composing of the text. During the revision phase of the writing process, writers examine the content of their writing. Writers attend to correctness in conventions when they enter the editing phase of the writing process. Publication entails the final preparation of a piece of writing for the intended audience
