Children 600-1200 mg/day in divided doses. S-adenosyl methionine (SAM-e) NOT regulated by the FDA. NOT recommended by the American Psychiatric Association. Can cause SEROTONIN SYNDROME. omega-3 fatty acids Improves mood. 1.0- 9.6 g/day. May be used to prevent or treat the side effects of antipsychotics.
