Career
My personal values: I emphasize the importance of
empathy and compassion, dedication, responsibility,
growth, resilience, and respect. I believe that each and
every one of these values weighs on my decision making.
For example, last year, I switched schools. This decision
was entirely my own and took me a very long time to
decide on. My valuing of growth positively impacted my
decision. It helped me realize that I can only grow so far
in the same environment, which is one of the reasons why
I decided to switch schools. My own dedication to my
education and my goals also pushed me to do the same. I
knew this new school would be beneficial to my
education and to my future
Values of career (if applicable): A career in farm
maintenance and animal care requires one to be
compassionate, dedicated, responsible and most of all
resilient. Furthermore when one possesses all of these
values they are able to excel in a chosen career as they
will be able to overcome challenges and problems they
might face in a workplace setting. Animal care also needs
one to be compassionate as some animals may be going
through a tough time as they may be dealing with health
issues.
My personal interests: I enjoy solving mathematical
problems, and challenging myself with difficult equations,
as well as learning about world history through personal
research. I like, and work well independently, but also
benefit from working in groups. In addition, I am very
fond of the sciences; primarily chemistry, biology, and
health sciences. As someone who is always looking to
learn more, these subjects interest me because they
provide a constant source of new information. I also enjoy
caring for animals. They also provide me with the
challenge of new concepts to grasp.
Place for personal interests in career choice:
When working at a farm setting one has to have many
personal interests, one of them being caring for animals. I
believe that my personal interest in caring for animals will
allow me to excel as one needs to be able to understand
the emotions and physical signs of what animals are
trying to say. In need to have personal interest in the life
of living on a farm which means that you have to like the
environment in which you are living in, when working on
a farm you are outside of the city and are usually isolated
meaning that you can be one with nature
