half of the 20th century or in the 21st century.

culturally diverse and technologically advancing

COLLAGE
Collage is the method of combining printed images
with other flat media and posted on a canvas or
board.
The term “collage” comes from the French word
colles, or “to glue.”
Jay Cabalu
Jay Cabalu is a Filipino-Canadian collage artist,
discovered magazines and comic books at a
young age after his family immigrated to
Canada in 1991.
ASSEMBLAGE
Assemblage is a term used by French artist Jean
Dubuffet in 1952 to describe a series of artworks
made from paper collages, wood scraps, and other
found objects.
Glenn Martinez
An assemblagist, storyteller, & author of the
blog Traveler on Foot.
MOBILE
Mobile is a sculptural work that is suspended from
the ceiling or a protruding base. It is typically made
with a number of balancing rods dangling in different
lengths carrying one or more elements.

involves the arrangement of objects in a given space.
