CPEG 222 – Project 3 Demo Grading
Arbitrary Waveform Generator
1. Waveform output: 40 pts
10 point deduction for each item not satisfied. Max deduction = 40 points
Continuous through each period (i.e., no glitches)
Low noise
Amplitude approximately +/- 1.2 V
No DC offset
Relatively smooth (i.e., no major jaggies)
2. Operation: 20 pts
10 point deduction for each item not satisfied. Max deduction = 20 points
Toggle switches selects waveform type
Waveform period entered via keyboard in milliseconds.
Range of waveform period should be approximately 10 – 100 milliseconds (100 – 10 Hz).
Waveform period accuracy should be 1 millisecond or better.
3. Waveform selection: 30 pts
10 point deduction for each waveform not generated. Max deduction = 30 points
Sinusoidal
Exponential
Triangle
4. Customer Satisfaction: 10 pts
Your customer (the TA) will award a maximum of 10 points that reflects his/her satisfaction with your
project. A 10 point deduction for each item below will be assessed. Max deduction = 10 points
Messy wiring
Waveform selection switches not clearly labeled
Quirky operation
Unfamiliarity with any aspect of your project
Late for your demo
Poorly presented demo
Other
Your project notebook must be turned in at the time of your demonstration. No documentation will be
accepted after the demo.
The total project grade is 25% design notebook and 75% demonstration.
