The table presents data on the average lenght of time that peopleof various age
groups spend consulting with family doctors across six countries.
Overall, amount of time spent in consulations increases with age in most
countries.Chile consistenly records the highest consultations time along all age
groups,while the UK generally shows the lowest figures,particularly among younger
people.
Turning first in the 0-10 age group, the spent different significantly, from just
9 minutes in the UK to 32 minutes in both Chile and Kenya. In addition, this disparity
continues in the 10–20 age group, where consultation times remain high in Chile (32
minutes), while Japan and the UK report only 12 minutes. Among adults aged 20–60,
consultation durations rise gradually in countries like France and the USA, reaching
29 and 21 minutes by age 60, whereas Kenya maintains consistently low figures,
peaking at just 13 minutes.
Looking at the table , the highest consultation times are observed among those
aged 70 and above, with Chile reaching a peak of 39 minutes. Moreover, France
and the USA also show substantial increases, reporting 38 and 31 minutes,
respectively. In contrast, Kenya’s figure drops to just 10 minutes, the junior in this
age group.
To sum up, consultation time tends to increase with age in most countries, and
Chile stands out as the country where people spend the most time with family
doctors across all age groups.
