An analysis of two different systems - e-voting and police vehicle command and control - based on the quadrant model. The quadrant model helps to understand the development process of a system by identifying the clarity of goals and solutions. The e-voting system is placed in the first quadrant as the goals and solutions are clear. Two possible models for development are suggested: waterfall and component-based. The police vehicle command and control system is placed in the second quadrant as the goals are clear but the solutions are not. The evolutionary model is suggested for its development due to the need for continuous interaction with the police to understand the requirements.

It lies in the first quadrant because we are clear our goal as well as the solution. We know that the voter will come and he will fill his form. On the id bases he will be checked either he is eligible for the vote or not.We can develop the software easily step by step. Model: There are two model to which using we can develop this software easily.
steps are clear , if we will complete one of the step then we have no need to go back the previous step. we also have no need to interact with user many times.
We can also do this by using the component base model. Because in foreign we know that there is already the system of eโvoting exists. So we can complete this project easily by changing a little bit in foreign software.
It lies in the 2 nd quadrant because our goal is clear but our solution in not clear. In the given case study we observe that we completely understand the requirements so our goal is clear. But solution is not clear because we donโt know what could be the intensity of incident. So that it provides the shortest path or select the number of vehicles to be sent.
The model we use in this case is evolutionary model. Because we have to interact with police again and again to know that what type of the problem they face most of the type. So we have to make the changes in difference phases at the same time due to which we have to move from one phase to other most of the times.
