Assignment/ Exercises # 10
Instruction: Solve the problem and submit pictures or scan copy of your answer with solution.
1. A Darlington pair has values of hfe1 = hfe2 = 150, and its value of RE = 1 kΩ and RB = 4.7 kΩ.
(a) Compute the value of Zi and Zo for the circuit.
(b) Solve AV and Ai for the circuit.
2. For a Feedback Pair connection, current gain βF and emitter-base turn-on voltage VBEF (ON) are
given as follows βF = β1β2 + β1 ≈ β1β2 . VBEF (ON) = VBE(ON)
Such that IC = βF IB and IE = (βF + 1) IB when both transistors are in the forward active mode.
Show that above expressions for βF and VBEF (ON) are correct.
