1. Angle appetite (pizza edition). A pizza is cut into 8 equal slices. What is the central
angle of one slice? If it were cut into 10 equal slices, what would the central angle be
then?
2. Rectangle refresher. A rectangle is 8 m long and 3 m wide.
(a) Find its perimeter.
(b) Find its area.
3. Triangle type check. A triangle has side lengths 5, 5, and 8.
(a) Classify the triangle by its sides.
(b) Is it a right triangle? Explain briefly.
4. Distance cameo. Find the distance between the points (0,0) and (3,4).
5. Circle sanity. A circle has radius 7 cm. Using π3.14,
(a) find the circumference,
(b) and the area.
6. Very serious geometry (with classroom stars). You place 6 gold star stickers evenly
around a circular poster (equally spaced).
(a) What is the central angle between two adjacent stars?
(b) If you add 6 more (so 12 total), what is the new central angle?
