Q3 The following is an Access Database exercise. Name this database “Vineyards”.

“Vineyards” contains statistical information on various wine producers. The information held on each vineyard is as follows:-

  • Vineyard Name –Name of vineyard
  • Country of Origin – Country in which vineyard is registered
  • Number International Awards – number of worldwide awards
  • World Ranking – highest ever position in world placings
  • Marketing Agent – name of Marketing Agent
  • Irish Market Success? – whether or not vineyard has been successful in Ireland
  • Average Annual Earnings –current earnings from sales in Ireland each year

Set up a database table holding the details on the ten vineyards listed below. You can use the italicized words given above as field names but you must decide on the relevant data type for each field.

Set up and save a query showing all details of vineyards:- 2 Whose first name begins with “B” (Query1) 3 Who hail from France (Query2) 4 Display the vineyards which have won 500 or more international awards (Query3) Set up and save a query which:- 5 sorts the table “WineStats” into ascending order based on “Country of Origin” and descending order based on “No International Awards” (Query4) Set up and save a query from the Query4 file displaying only:- 6 the Vineyard Name, Country of Origin and Marketing Agent of artists who hail from either France OR Australia and whose average annual earnings equal or exceed €5m (Query5) Set up and save a query which:- 7 Searches through the Query4 file for the character sequence “lan” under Marketing Agent name and displays the results in descending order according to world ranking (Query6) Set up and save a query from the “WineStats” table displaying only:- 8 the Vineyard Name, Country of Origin, World Ranking, for all vineyards that have had Irish market success, have average annual earnings in excess of €5m but who have won less than 1000 international awards (Query7)
