Now we are done learning the Plate Tectonic and you now have a foundation knowledge in understanding the geological events happening in earth. One of these is earthquake. In the next activity you will recall the basic terms you have learn in 8th^ grade about this phenomena.

After unlocking and recalling the terms we will perform an activity that will teach you how movement along the fractures on Earth’s crust can cause earthquakes. An Earthquake is a sudden release of energy from Earth’s crust caused by movements along its enormous fractures. It is a natural vibration of the ground that often in volcanic regions.
