Purpose: This homework is intended to provide practice with Microsoft Project
Description :
Make a project similar to the House Building Project that we did in class.
The project will be to build a playground for your children’s school.
The resources you will use are:
4 parent volunteers who can work only on weekends
A carpenter
Need to rent a backhoe
Need to purchase lumber and hardware
Need to purchase commercial slide, swings
You will build the climbing structure, and tire mound and sandbox
Tasks to be done are:
Prepare the land
Purchase commercial pieces
Design the layout of the playground
Design the structure, the tire mound, the sandbox
Get building permits
Build each item: (climbing structure, tire mound, sandbox)
Install commercial pieces
City inspection
Hold opening party
Make a repeating task: Team meeting that happens once per week.
Make sure that the Gantt chart has a cost column
Make sure that at least 2 tasks can be done in parallel
Make a separate Word document that has in it the final Gantt chart and the Resource sheet
