How do Computers work?

What is A Computer?

A Computer is an electronic machine that can solve different problems, process data, store & retrieve data and perform calculations faster. It helps to receive information and makes things much easier for us.

Monitor

The monitor is the piece of a computer hardware that displays the video and graphics information generated by the computer. Monitors are very similar to televisions but usually display information.

Power Supply

A power supply is a component that supplies power to at least one electric load.

Typically, it converts one type of electrical power to another is a device that

supplies electrical power to a device or group of devices.

Hard Disc Drives

Hard Disc Drives are long term memories that save or store things even if the computer was powered down. The operating system, all your programs and datas are stored here.

RAM

RAM is the part of a computer in which information is stored while you are using it. RAM stands for Random Access Memory. RAM is made up of small memory chips that form a memory module. Every time you open a program, it gets loaded from the hard drive into the RAM. This is because reading data from the RAM is much faster than reading data from the hard drive.

Solid State Drives

A Solid State drive is a type of mass storage device similar to a hard disk drive. Unlike hard drives, SSDs do not have any moving parts, which is why they are called solid state drives. Instead of storing data on magnetic platters, SSDs store data using flash memory.

Graphic Card

A circuit board that connects to a computer and allows the computer to show images, such as video images, on its screen. In other words, a Graphic Card means a circuit board in a computer which allows the computer to show pictures on its screen.
